Kiss-Cut
Easy peel stickers with larger back paper
The name comes from the cut: the laser cuts through the sticker but only touches the backing paper, like a light kiss, so the backing stays in one piece. See Kiss-cut Stickers.
When we make a kiss-cut sticker, the laser cuts through the finish, the material and the adhesive, but leaves the backing paper intact. It just touches the backing, like a quick, precise kiss, and that's where the name comes from.
Why it matters
Because the backing stays in one piece, the sticker is easy to peel off and easy to handle and hand out. The extra backing also supports detailed shapes.
A die-cut sticker is cut all the way through, backing included. Read more in Kiss-cut vs die-cut stickers and Die-cut, kiss-cut and through cut explained.
