Are temporary tattoos safe on skin?

Yes. Our Temporary Tattoos are made with skin-safe materials that have been safety assessed. Avoid sensitive or damaged skin, and stop using them if your skin gets irritated.

Safe on skin

Temporary tattoos are made to be worn directly on skin. They are made with skin-safe materials that have been tested for general use and use a cosmetic-grade adhesive that is activated with water. Under normal conditions they are safe to wear and should not cause unusual reactions.

Good to know

  • Everyone's skin is different, so avoid sensitive, irritated or damaged skin

  • If you notice discomfort or a reaction, remove the tattoo and stop using it

  • If you have very sensitive skin or specific concerns, test on a small area first

Wearing and removing

A temporary tattoo usually lasts 2 to 5 days, depending on skin type, placement and contact with water or friction. It fades naturally, or you can remove it sooner with an oil-based remover.
