What is bleed, and how much do I need?

Bleed is extra artwork that extends past the cutline, so no white edge shows if the cut is slightly off. About 2 mm (0.08") is enough for our stickers.

Bleed in sticker printing

Bleed is the extra margin of your design or background color that extends beyond the final cut size. If the cut is slightly off, the bleed makes sure the color still reaches the edge and no unprinted, white edge shows.

How much bleed

  • Add about 2 mm (0.08") of bleed outside the cutline.

  • If your design has a border, make it at least 2 mm (0.08") wide so it looks even after cutting.

  • Keep important elements such as text and logos inside the safe area, at least 2 mm inside the cutline, so they aren't cut off.
