What is back paper print, and why would I use it?

Back Paper Print is a full-color CMYK print on the backing paper behind your sticker. Use it for your URL, social media, a QR code or instructions without changing the sticker's front design.

Back paper print on your stickers

Back paper print is an add-on that prints a full-color CMYK design on the backing paper behind your sticker. It's commonly used for branding, instructions, QR codes, promotions or extra artwork, without affecting the front of the sticker.

How it works

The print sits on the backing paper (also called liner or release liner), not on the sticker itself. You see it when you turn the sticker over. When you peel off the sticker and apply it, the printed backing paper is left behind and the sticker's front design is unchanged.

What you can print on the backing

  • Website URLs and social media handles

  • Logos or illustrations

  • Promotional messages or discount codes

  • QR codes linking to websites, landing pages or downloads

  • Care instructions or product information

  • Batch numbers or identification codes

  • Artwork that matches the front design

Why use back paper print?

  • More space for your brand: add information that doesn't fit, or doesn't belong, on the front.

  • A clean front design: extra information stays on the back.

  • Full color: CMYK printing, not only black, so logos and graphics print in detail.

  • QR codes: the customer can scan the code on the backing when they peel the sticker. See QR code stickers for ideas.

  • Professional presentation: useful for artists, creators and brands that sell stickers individually or in packs.

Technical notes

  • Printed directly on the backing paper, not the sticker surface

  • Doesn't affect the adhesive or the sticker's durability

  • The print area depends on the sticker's shape and size

  • Paper texture and cutline placement can affect the layout

  • Orders with back paper print use a backing without score (backscore), so your print stays whole

Common uses

  • Stickers sold individually (retail style)

  • Subscription boxes and mailers

  • Brand or artist contact information

  • Promotional campaigns

  • Product identifiers on packaging

  • Event merchandise

  • QR-based instructions or digital access
